Andrey, La Vivion Jewelry, Russia

The Challenge

For Andrey Yanchevskiy of La Vivion, jewelry photography has always come with a familiar set of frustrations. Focus inconsistencies — front focus, back focus, insufficient depth of field — meant that getting a clean, sharp shot was never guaranteed. Building a catalog or managing a growing image library without the right tools made the process even harder to control.

"It's always a challenge to take nice pictures — different backgrounds, different focus distances. You need to make a bigger depth and that's where the solution helps. If you want to make a catalog or a storage for images, it's really hard to manage if you don't have any experience."

GemLightbox's Role

Three years in, La Vivion now runs both GemLightbox and GemSparkle as part of their photography workflow — and each product plays a distinct role.

GemLightbox handles the core catalog work — fast background removal, consistent shots, and image management through the software platform.

"With GemLightbox it's very convenient — you can remove the background, you can do it very fast. The software you're providing helps us a lot."

GemSparkle brings an added dimension to the iPhone workflow — delivering a level of sparkle and finish that a standard camera or phone lens simply can't replicate.

"With the lens on your iPhone it gives you much more sparkle rather than using your basic camera or phone. It gives you a much better look than you can achieve by using the regular stuff."

Asked to sum up GemSparkle in one word, Andrey's answer was straightforward: "Special."
